10 Sep 08 Chrome Tips - How to Install Greasemonkey scripts for Google Chrome!

If you have been using Firefox Greasemonkey scripts, now there’s a way to use those needy scripts in the Google Chrome Browser using the GreaseMetal which works well with WebKit, the open-source platform Chrome and Safari is based on.

Here’s how to install the GreaseMetal:

To start using Greasemetal, download and execute the installer.
GreasemetalInstaller.exe (1.2MB)
md5: b47e3a82168124f57119cc3e5ec43563
After installation, launch Greasemetal from the start menu. Greasemetal will in turn start up Google Chrome, while hooking its behaviours to insert userscripts.
Once you have started running Greasemetal, add userscripts to the userjs directory under your My Documents folder (or Documents folder on Windows Visa). If you are unfamiliar with userscripts, a number of scripts are available from userscripts.org.

Thanks for the link, and glad you liked it :)

And you might want to add a line “Chrome Hacks is not associated with Google in any way” or else Google might send their lawyers after you ;)
