Well, I have been searching for new Chrome hacks lately and found this neat feature in Google Chrome that the address bar actually can double as Google Search, sorta like Firefox’s search bar.

What a great idea and a good thing I stumbled onto this.

There is no need to install Google Search, because it’s already a part of Chrome’s address bar. Type whatever you want to search right into Chrome’s address bar, then press Enter

And did you know that you can search by highlighting any word or phrase?
Just highlight the text, then right click it, which gives you the option to run Google search in a new window.

Google Chrome Tips - Open Links in Google Chrome from Firefox!

If you are like me, you will need to keep using Firefox for most applications and websites but here’s a great Firefox plugin for opening up websites in Chrome from Firefox.

This way, you keep using Firefox as main process while you open extra windows in Chrome and save yourself some time and memory.

If are using Firefox along side Google’s browser, this “Open in Google Chrome” extension might come handy – it lets you send web sites and links directly to Google Chrome from Firefox.

It can also be configured to always open certain web pages in Chrome – e.g. *google*, gmail, etc.

Install “Open in Google Chrome” for Firefox 3

Download open-in-google-chrome.xpi on to your desktop and then drag it inside Firefox 3 much like what you did for Send to Google Docs.

Chrome Tips - Resize your Input Textarea Box!

Here’s another cool feature only in Chrome browser.  You can actually drag the corner of any textarea input box on any website to resize your textbox.  Now, this will be very useful for sites that use too-small of a textbox.
