14 Jun 08 How to Update Google Chrome to the latest version!

Well, I guess upgrading the Google Chrome isn’t actually common sense so here’s how to do it:

1) Open the “About Google Chrome” page.

2) Wait as Google Chrome checks for any updates.

3) Press the “Update Now” button please.

4) Wait for the installation of Google Chrome’s new version.

5) You should see this message that new version of Google Chrome has been installed.

6) Yey, enjoy the new version.

10 Jun 08 Firefox Chrome Tips – Chromifox is a Chrome Theme for Firefox!

Apparently, Google Chrome browser has picked up in popularity very quickly, there’s even a Firefox extension called Chromifox, which lets you make Firefox “look” like Chrome browser.

Get the Chromifox firefox extension, called a  “coat of Chrome for Firefox”. Its is a bright and soft blue theme for Firefox 3 on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, and is inspired by the appearance of the Google Chrome web browser.

It looks like there’s now a way to switch Chrome themes (although I like the default theme) using a custom Chrome Theme Switcher:

08 Jun 08 Google Chrome Tips – Open Links in Google Chrome from Firefox!

If you are like me, you will need to keep using Firefox for most applications and websites but here’s a great Firefox plugin for opening up websites in Chrome from Firefox.

This way, you keep using Firefox as main process while you open extra windows in Chrome and save yourself some time and memory.

If are using Firefox along side Google’s browser, this “Open in Google Chrome” extension might come handy – it lets you send web sites and links directly to Google Chrome from Firefox.

It can also be configured to always open certain web pages in Chrome – e.g. *google*, gmail, etc.

Install “Open in Google Chrome” for Firefox 3

Download open-in-google-chrome.xpi on to your desktop and then drag it inside Firefox 3 much like what you did for Send to Google Docs.

Here’s another cool feature only in Chrome browser.  You can actually drag the corner of any textarea input box on any website to resize your textbox.  Now, this will be very useful for sites that use too-small of a textbox.
